DSV, an international transport and warehousing company, operates a 150,000 m² headquarters near Copenhagen handling 11–12,000 shipments daily and serves major customers who demand high security and proof of handling. Their legacy analog CCTV could not archive recordings long enough, frequently crashed and lost data, and struggled to provide clear evidence across busy, multi-site operations with thousands of drivers and large storage halls.

DSV replaced the DVRs with a Milestone XProtect Enterprise IP video system—running on dual-Xeon servers and Microstorage DAS with RAID‑5—integrating over 560–600 cameras (legacy analog via Axis video servers plus Axis IP/PoE cameras and 3Com PoE switches). The upgrade delivered longer archives, higher-quality footage (from 1–2 fps to 6 fps), centralized monitoring and remote access, easier expansion for customer-specific needs, and faster incident resolution—preventing thefts and improving proof for disputes.
