Cove Construction Alberta Goes Extreme with Milestone

Cove Properties, a premier luxury condominium builder in Alberta, needed a rapidly deployable, short-term surveillance solution to protect construction sites from theft and vandalism in the region’s extreme northern conditions—short winter days and subzero temperatures that challenge conventional equipment.

2020 DSS implemented Mobile Pro Systems’ PowerSentry pole-mounted platforms fitted with Optex Redscan laser detectors, fixed cameras and 8,000-lumen floodlights, integrated through Milestone XProtect VMS for visual verification and event response. The system reliably triggered lights and cameras, withstood temperatures down to –40/–60°F wind chill during testing, and ran continuously with no downtime, providing effective perimeter detection and remote monitoring.
