pladis Global, the snack producer behind brands like McVitie’s and GODIVA, needed to modernize security across multiple bakery sites in the UK and improve safety, visibility, and storage efficiency. Working with Milestone Systems and partner North, the company upgraded outdated CCTV at sites including Harlesden, Stockport, and Carlisle, replacing analog systems with intelligent HD IP video.

Milestone Systems’ XProtect Expert VMS was deployed with AWS cloud storage to provide centralized, web-based video management across all three sites. The solution improved situational awareness, incident response, and operational efficiency, while significantly reducing hardware, installation, maintenance, and data storage costs through tiered AWS storage.
