City of Haverhill deploys Axis network cameras across sites and on an MRAP vehicle to discourage criminal activity

The City of Haverhill, Massachusetts, faced a patchwork of outdated cameras from multiple manufacturers that produced inconsistent, unusable footage—an incident in a park where a camera 50 feet away failed to capture evidence prompted officials to find a new, reliable solution.

Axis partner SideBand Systems rebuilt the network and deployed more than 120 Axis network cameras streamed through Milestone XProtect, supported by a 100 Mbps wireless backbone and a 500 Mbps fiber VLAN; cameras were also installed on an MRAP and mobile units. The upgrade delivered clear, consistent video that officers now routinely use for investigations and remote monitoring, significantly improving evidence capture and citywide coverage.
