Camsecure secures the lifestyle at La Petite Provence

Camsecure, a projects-based security solutions company with experience across Africa, was engaged to upgrade security at La Petite Provence, a 36-hectare residential wine estate in Franschhoek. Residents wanted modern, reliable surveillance and easier access control to replace an outdated CCTV and access‑card system that was cumbersome, prone to lost or shared cards, and ill-suited to the estate’s large area.

Camsecure implemented Milestone XProtect with an LPR (license plate recognition) add-on and Axis network cameras (including infrared and Lightfinder low‑light models), enabling automatic entry for registered vehicles, blacklisting of flagged plates, and integrated video analytics tied to guard alerts. The solution eliminated entrance delays, improved image quality and perimeter monitoring, used wireless solar-powered links for flexibility and lower carbon footprint, and set the stage for a second phase rollout and expanded local service in the Western Cape.
