Case Study: Cadbury Wedel achieves enhanced safety and scalable IP video surveillance with Milestone Systems (XProtect)

Cadbury Wedel installs extensive video monitoring system based on Axis network cameras

Cadbury Wedel, a leading confectionery manufacturer in Poland expanding sites in Skarbimierz, Bielany Wrocławskie and Warsaw, needed a modern video monitoring system to replace limited analog cameras and to protect raw materials, finished goods and employee areas while enabling centralized, remote and secure access. The challenge included providing high-quality imaging in varied lighting and distances, enabling proactive incident detection, and supporting scalable management across multiple plants.

Axis partner Mirare implemented a tailored IP solution using Axis network cameras and Milestone XProtect software—combining existing analog units with 70 IP cameras (including PTZ 35x, megapixel and 4CIF models) on a dedicated network, integrated with security and building systems and accessible via secure VPN/mobile. The deployment improved safety and working conditions, enabled faster response and prevention, simplified operator control, earned praise from staff and unions, and was rolled out to Cadbury Wedel’s other plants.
