AIDA Cruise Ships, a major German cruise operator, faced an outdated, ship-by-ship analogue CCTV setup that was hard to maintain and couldn’t be extended to meet modern safety requirements. They needed a centralized, scalable IP video solution that could integrate existing analogue cameras, deliver strong vendor support, and improve onboard safety monitoring across the fleet.

AIDA worked with Stanley Security to deploy Milestone XProtect Corporate with Axis IP cameras and video encoders, plus Milestone Mobile and Smart Client, completing the upgrade fleet-wide in one year. The centralized VMS improved monitoring of engine rooms, navigation and fire responses, enabled faster fault diagnosis and simpler crew handovers, and even feeds live deck views to onboard TVs for passenger entertainment—delivering higher security and operational efficiency.
