Aeropuertos Argentina elevates national airport security with open platform video and cloud technology

Aeropuertos Argentina, part of Corporación América Group, manages security across 35+ airport terminals in Argentina and faced the challenge of replacing outdated legacy systems with a unified, flexible video security platform. The airports needed a solution that could integrate many camera brands and analytics tools, provide strong encryption, and support everything from perimeter monitoring to passenger flow insights. Milestone Systems and its open platform XProtect VMS were selected to help meet these needs.

Milestone Systems implemented XProtect VMS with integrations such as AXIS Perimeter Defender, people counting, heatmaps, access control, and cloud-tested AWS deployments. The result is a centralized “single-pane-of-glass” security system that improves situational awareness, speeds incident response, and supports better airport operations. At Aeroparque Jorge Newbery alone, about 800 devices are in use today and could reach 1,200 as projects expand, while across the network more than 1,000 cameras are already deployed.
