How Kabila Connects Overlooked Entrepreneurs with Capital and Community

Kabila, a community and venture platform founded by James Oliver Jr., helps overlooked startup founders find capital, connections, and support. The challenge was creating a trusted space for entrepreneurs from marginalized communities and outside major tech hubs to access the resources and networks they often lack.

Using Mighty Networks and its Explore Plan, Kabila built a paid membership community with weekly check-ins, live events, workshops, and referrals through the Ambassador Program. The result was a thriving community of 500 members, stronger member engagement, and meaningful peer-to-peer support, including one member receiving $15,000 in free legal services from another member. Mighty Networks also gave Kabila an owned platform where every post reaches the full community without the noise of social media.
