Case Study: Domestic & General accelerates WebSphere deployment and reduces errors with MidVision RapidDeploy

A MidVision Case Study

Preview of the Domestic & General Case Study

Domestic & General deliver a new IBM WebSphere Application Server Environment at speed using RapidDeploy™ for Application Deployment

Domestic & General, the UK warranty services provider, needed to migrate more than 100 IBM WebSphere applications from an IBM iSeries platform to a new Solaris-based environment across sites in London and Amsterdam. Their existing deployment process was manual, script-driven, time-consuming, and error-prone, leading to inconsistencies, production issues, unscheduled downtime, and a lack of clear audit trail. MidVision was selected to help address these challenges with its RapidDeploy™ application deployment solution and implementation consulting.

MidVision implemented RapidDeploy™ to automate the migration, installation, configuration, and ongoing release management of Domestic & General’s WebSphere Application Server environments. The solution enabled self-service, improved security, and provided a consistent deployment process from development through production, including disaster recovery and fix pack updates. As a result, Domestic & General reported considerable time savings, a dramatic drop in errors, reduced bottlenecks, and faster delivery of new web application capabilities to the business.
