Zetta.IO is a Scandinavian cloud provider serving startup founders and DevOps teams with a mission to deliver telecom-grade availability, flexibility, and data privacy. As it scaled, Zetta.IO faced network bottlenecks from high packet-processing workloads and needed an open, hardware-independent stack. The company evaluated cloud vendors and chose Midokura Enterprise MidoNet as part of its OpenStack-based, open source infrastructure.

Midokura implemented MidoNet to replace Open vSwitch in OpenStack Neutron, which improved network performance and removed the bottlenecks affecting demanding customers. The solution let Zetta.IO scale virtual infrastructure without adding hardware, helping reduce power and cooling costs while supporting its green IT goals. According to the case study, Midokura also helped Zetta.IO win new business across Scandinavia and better compete with AWS and Google.
