Wipro drives mobile productivity with Microsoft cloud security tools to improve customer engagements

Wipro, a global IT, consulting, and business process services company, needed to enable a mobile, highly secure workplace so employees could safely use Office 365 and other cloud apps while meeting data‑protection requirements like GDPR. The company moved from legacy security controls to Microsoft solutions — including Enterprise Mobility + Security and Office 365 collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams — to provide secure, mobile access to productivity and line‑of‑business apps for its global workforce.

Wipro deployed Microsoft Enterprise Mobility + Security (Azure AD Premium P1, Azure Multi‑Factor Authentication, Intune, Azure Information Protection, Windows Autopilot, Azure AD B2B and App Proxy) to create conditional access, mobile app management, and seamless SSO with MFA. The Microsoft Teams ecosystem enabled virtual teamwork with customers, while conditional policies prevented downloads/printing on unmanaged devices and opened secure partner collaboration. Results included a three‑month global rollout, rapid Windows 10 deployment via Autopilot, Intune provisioning of standard policies/apps in about 45 minutes, broad employee coverage, stronger partner ties, and improved productivity and customer engagements. Microsoft Teams is specifically cited as a tool Wipro will use to facilitate secure virtual collaboration.
