The Linde Group, a Munich‑headquartered gas and engineering company operating in more than 100 countries, faced the challenge of standardizing a dispersed workforce, improving collaboration and mobility, and meeting strict security and data‑residency requirements. To address this, The Linde Group partnered with Microsoft Teams and deployed Microsoft 365 Enterprise — including Office 365, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Enterprise Mobility + Security, and related Microsoft services — supported by Microsoft Consulting Services and FastTrack for a global migration and change‑management program.

Using Microsoft 365 Enterprise and rolling out Microsoft Teams as a chat‑based hub, the vendor enabled seamless collaboration, mobile access, and streamlined workflows (migrating from Lotus Notes to SharePoint Online for process apps). Results included faster decision‑making and fewer site visits (a London facilities team replaced half‑day meetings with 30‑minute Skype calls), improved document version control via OneDrive, and strong adoption—more than 80% of users now use screen/content sharing and instant messaging—while meeting EU data‑residency and security needs.
