A Microsoft Teams Case Study
The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, a global manufacturer with about 64,000 associates in more than 150 countries, needed a secure, modern workplace to harness its diverse talent and accelerate product innovation. To enable real‑time collaboration, knowledge sharing, and stronger security, Goodyear adopted Microsoft Teams as part of a broader Microsoft 365 deployment—including SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Windows 10, Enterprise Mobility + Security and Azure services.
Microsoft Teams and the Microsoft 365 suite were implemented in a three‑month rollout, delivering chat-based collaboration, searchable project libraries, Surface Hub and Skype for Business integration, and enterprise security controls like Azure AD, Intune and Office 365 Advanced Threat Protection. The solution improved R&D collaboration and productivity—one reuse of intranet knowledge saved at least a full design iteration, Goodyear now manages roughly 500 concurrent projects with unified searchable libraries, scans over 1 million suspicious emails monthly with ATP, and strengthened data protection—demonstrating measurable time, cost, and security benefits as Goodyear scales Microsoft Teams across the organization.
