Swedish Recruitment and Staffing Agency Deepens Collaboration and Enables New Ways of Working

Academic Work, a Sweden-based recruitment and staffing company operating across six countries, struggled with inefficient collaboration—Excel files on traditional file servers were frequently locked, causing delays and rising support tickets. To modernize teamwork and enable virtual meetings, Academic Work deployed Microsoft Teams as part of its Office 365/Windows 10 environment (with SharePoint Online and OneDrive for storage).

Using Microsoft Teams, Academic Work created a standardized “toolbox” (OneDrive for personal files, SharePoint for communications, Teams for collaboration), rolled out a branch-by-branch migration, and drove adoption with gamified, scenario-based training. The result: more than 1,100 regular Teams users, 15–20 people able to co-edit Excel concurrently, reduced email and support overhead, centralized IT management, and a full move to the cloud that streamlined operations and boosted efficiency.
