Silvermill Group - Customer Case Study

Silvermill Group, a century-old Sri Lankan coconut products manufacturer, faced sluggish reporting, costly weekly commutes for leadership, and poor field-office communication. To modernize collaboration and analytics, the company adopted Microsoft Teams as part of Microsoft Office 365—alongside Power BI, SharePoint Online, Skype for Business Online, and Azure—working with partner Sanje (Pvt) Ltd to address these challenges.

Using Microsoft Teams for daily remote meetings, mobile collaboration, and embedded note-taking, plus Power BI dashboards hosted on Azure and SharePoint for document workflows, Silvermill replaced weekslong reports with near real-time data and strengthened field‑agent relationships. Microsoft Teams helped eliminate six-hour return commutes for weekly meetings, enabled leaders to recoup the Office 365 investment within the first two weeks of the fiscal year, and supported business growth including plans for a second factory in Indonesia.
