Russian oil and gas pioneer builds more secure platform for future growth

Volga Gas, an independent oil and gas exploration and production company in Western Russia with roughly 200 employees across seven locations, faced a need to integrate global best practices and build a more secure, scalable information platform to support growth. To tackle this, the company adopted Microsoft technologies—Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance & Operations, Microsoft Azure, and Microsoft Office 365—and plans to use Microsoft Teams to enhance collaboration.

Working with Microsoft partner Dynamics Services, Volga Gas implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Azure to create a single information space with flexible analytics, stronger security, and end-to-end digitization of services and technological processes. The Microsoft-powered solution improved support for project managers (budgeting and activity analysis), enabled sensor-data storage for IoT initiatives, and delivered measurable gains in security, analytics, and operational effectiveness, with Volga Gas expecting further benefits from Microsoft Teams, mobile access, and machine learning.
