Russian computer training leader enhances learning with new digital platform

Computer Training Center “Specialist”, a Moscow‑based leader in computer education that trains over 50,000 students a year and runs more than 1,000 courses, faced a fragmented set of back‑end technologies that wasted time for its 400 teachers and thousands of learners. To simplify administration and improve the learning experience, the organization adopted Microsoft Teams (alongside Office 365) to replace the “zoo” of products and provide a single, integrated platform.

Using Microsoft Teams in a pilot with 2,000 learners, “Specialist” gave trainers and students one point of access for real‑time and offline collaboration, lecture recording, and secure course content sharing. The Microsoft Teams–based solution lifted student satisfaction (Net Promoter Score up by over 4.5 percentage points), is expected to enable up to 25% more student recruitment, and cut platform costs by about USD 100,000 annually as the school rolls the solution out to all students.
