McAfee, the large cybersecurity firm that spun off from Intel, needed to reinvent its IT to be cloud‑first, mobile‑first and more agile while maintaining enterprise‑grade security. To replace on‑premises VPNs and legacy file stores and enable secure, real‑time collaboration, McAfee adopted Microsoft Teams as part of the broader Microsoft 365 suite (Office 365, Windows 10, Azure AD, Intune, OneDrive, SharePoint, Power BI).

Microsoft Teams enabled dedicated workspaces for 50 IT leaders and cross‑functional marketing and partner projects, with Planner, OneNote and coauthoring to boost productivity; Microsoft Services helped deploy Microsoft 365 to 7,500 employees and 2,000 contractors in under 2.5 months. The solution (including Azure AD single sign‑on, Intune device management and OneDrive) removed the need for VPNs, saved time in critical moments (e.g., recovering a keynote from OneDrive), increased call‑center access to intranet resources and delivered measurable gains in provisioning speed, collaboration and secure mobile access — all driven by Microsoft Teams.
