A Microsoft Teams Case Study
City of Westminster College, a London-based further education provider serving 7,000 students, needed modern, accessible tools to boost collaboration, engagement, and vocational readiness. To meet that challenge the college deployed Microsoft Office 365 and the Microsoft Teams digital hub to give students and staff real‑time communication, shared workspaces, and accessible learning tools.
By switching on Microsoft Teams and using Office 365 apps (OneNote, OneDrive, Forms, etc.), Westminster made collaboration easy to deploy and adopt across classrooms—benefiting all 7,000 students, improving participation for students with disabilities, reducing teacher workload, and replacing slow email with real‑time messaging. Microsoft Teams enabled group work, resource sharing, remote video collaboration (cutting travel time), and stronger student‑teacher engagement, with positive student feedback and rapid uptake across staff and learners.
