Konica Minolta promotes work-style reforms and improved communication with Microsoft Teams

Konica Minolta, Inc., a large Japanese discrete-manufacturing company that has led work-style reforms and teleworking initiatives, faced slow, email-centric communication that hindered flexible, creative work. To accelerate a cultural shift from email and Lync to chat-based collaboration, Konica Minolta adopted Microsoft Teams (along with Planner, OneDrive for Business and FastTrack for Office 365) as the new communication platform.

Microsoft Teams was piloted in January 2018 and rolled out company‑wide in May 2018 with workshops and FastTrack support; usage grew to about 3,000 users within four months. By integrating Teams with SharePoint, OneDrive and Planner, Konica Minolta sped up processes and external collaboration, cut help‑desk response times from as long as a week to within one day, and recorded strong adoption intent (80% of workshop respondents wanted to use Teams; 76% would recommend it).
