Mashreq Bank, a long-established international bank based in the United Arab Emirates, faced the dual challenge of rapidly shifting to digital banking while strengthening mobile productivity and security for its frontline staff. Working with Microsoft Teams as part of the broader Microsoft platform, Mashreq implemented Surface devices, Azure, Dynamics 365 and Microsoft 365 to unify customer workflows, collaboration, and security. The transformation raised digital transaction share to 94% (from roughly 30–40%), cut new-account opening time to 10 minutes, reduced paper use by 45%, made branch staff three times more effective, and saved about USD 250,000 annually in security costs—demonstrating clear productivity, customer experience, and cost benefits from the Microsoft Teams-led solution.
