Hills Limited - Customer Case Study

Hills Limited, an Australian technology and communications firm with a 70‑year history, was left with a patchwork of ERPs and heavily customised CRM systems after multiple acquisitions, limiting agility, customer experience and operational efficiency. To drive a full digital transformation within 24 months and consolidate suppliers, Hills partnered with Microsoft and plans to leverage Microsoft Teams alongside Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, Azure and related services.

Working with Microsoft (and partner Barhead Solutions), Hills expanded its Microsoft 365 agreement and deployed Azure Active Directory, Intune, Windows 10, SharePoint and OneDrive while replacing four separate ERPs with Dynamics 365 and rolling out collaboration tools including Microsoft Teams. The consolidation (four ERPs into a single Dynamics 365 platform), tighter security controls and a cloud SaaS model have reduced complexity and offshore dependency, strengthened cyber protections, unified Hills’ ~400‑strong workforce and positioned the business for faster M&A and improved customer outcomes.
