Schneider Electric’s globally dispersed Financial Planning and Analysis team in Rueil‑Malmaison, France, struggled to collaborate on quarterly business reviews: team members couldn’t coauthor files, spent time hunting for the latest versions across email, local drives, and file shares, and often waited for others to finish editing. To address this, the company deployed Microsoft Teams as part of its Office 365 rollout (alongside OneDrive for Business and Skype for Business Online).

Using Microsoft Teams as a single workspace with project channels, integrated Office apps, persistent chat, and file storage, the FP&A team now coauthors documents in real time, forwards project email into channels, and alerts colleagues with @mentions. Microsoft Teams cut the time spent locating files—previously up to 30 minutes whenever resuming work—helped the team complete a quarterly business review earlier than expected without late nights, and freed staff to focus on higher‑value strategic work.
