Case Study: DB Schenker centralizes IT and boosts IT efficiency 25% with Microsoft Teams

A Microsoft Teams Case Study

Preview of the DB Schenker Case Study

Global logistics firm centralizes IT, unites employees with modern digital workplace

DB Schenker, a global logistics leader, faced the challenge of centralizing IT across dozens of countries while improving secure, real-time collaboration and reducing costs and complexity. To address this, the company adopted Microsoft 365 and related cloud services—including Microsoft Teams as its collaboration hub—working with Microsoft technologies to replace fragmented, on‑premises implementations.

Using Microsoft Teams as part of the Microsoft 365 suite (with Azure AD, Intune, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Windows 10 and Windows Defender ATP), DB Schenker centralized identity and device management, enabled cloud provisioning (Windows AutoPilot/Azure AD Join), and moved developers and teams from email to real‑time Teams collaboration. The Microsoft Teams–centered deployment freed IT resources, supported elimination of more than 100 on‑premises Active Directories, improved IT operational efficiency by about 25%, and sped incident containment (e.g., rapid response to WannaCry).
