Case Study: NASCAR drives trackside productivity and real-time collaboration with Microsoft Teams

A Microsoft Teams Case Study

Preview of the NASCAR Case Study

From pit stop to checkered flag NASCAR drives productivity through cloud-based IT innovation

NASCAR, which runs 38 events a year and relies on fast, mobile teamwork, faced the challenge of coordinating complex logistics and sharing up-to-date information while constantly on the road. To modernize collaboration and security, NASCAR adopted Microsoft Teams alongside Office 365, SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business, and has migrated about 25% of its organization to the cloud so far.

Using Microsoft Teams and the broader Office 365 platform, NASCAR built a SharePoint Online intranet called Inside Track, rolled out OneDrive and a custom PowerApps solution to manage data access for employees and hundreds of contractors, and is piloting Microsoft Teams for trackside chat-based coordination. The result: real-time document collaboration, secure access from the track, peak productivity, faster event setup and measurable progress toward cloud migration (≈25% migrated), delivering clear time- and cost-savings for NASCAR.
