DMSolar, Mexico’s largest solar distributor based in Guadalajara, faced growing pains as rapid expansion exposed a fragmented IT setup—Google Drive, Dropbox, and unreliable Alcatel telephony—that hampered collaboration, mobility, and customer responsiveness. With help from partner Wolk LAB they moved to the Microsoft Teams ecosystem (Office 365 services including SharePoint Online, Skype for Business Online, OneDrive and more) to unify communications and document management.

Implementing Microsoft Teams’ Office 365 tools consolidated file storage in SharePoint Online, gave employees OneDrive access for mobile work, and replaced flaky phone service with Skype for Business to eliminate dropped calls and downtime. The change improved security, reduced stress, and boosted productivity—saving about 15 minutes per employee per day (nearly 11 hours company‑wide)—while lowering total cost of ownership and delivering an expected payback within two years.
