A Microsoft Teams Case Study
The French American School of Puget Sound (FASPS), a bilingual K–12 school of 419 students, faced the challenge of letting a mostly one-person IT staff manage a growing fleet of Windows devices while supporting multilingual, curriculum-specific apps and strong student-data security. To meet those needs the school adopted Microsoft Teams alongside other Microsoft education tools, including Intune for Education, Office 365, Windows 10, and School Data Sync.
Using Microsoft Teams together with Intune for Education and School Data Sync, FASPS automated device and app deployment, integrated student records and identities via Azure Active Directory, and provisioned OneNote Class Notebooks for teachers. The outcome: IT can manage roughly 150–200 devices in circulation (deploying 300+ devices a year), push apps to an entire class (for example, 91 students) remotely as soon as devices connect, support legacy Win32 apps, and free up time for teacher training and instruction.
