A Microsoft Teams Case Study

Preview of the Cristo Rey Kansas City High School Case Study

Cristo Rey prepares tech-savvy students for the working world

Cristo Rey Kansas City High School, part of a national Cristo Rey network, needed to prepare 386 students from diverse tech backgrounds for college and the workforce while managing a hybrid fleet of roughly 360 Windows 10 laptops and 270 iPads. To deliver consistent, certification‑level instruction and simplify device management, the school adopted Microsoft Teams alongside other Microsoft services (Microsoft Intune for Education, Office 365, and Windows 10).

Using Microsoft Intune for Education to streamline provisioning and Microsoft Teams for classroom collaboration and assignment management, Cristo Rey reduced summer device setup from weeks to three–four days and rolled out a Microsoft Office Specialist certification pathway tied to real-world work‑study experience. Microsoft Teams also replaced Google Classroom for many teachers, improving collaboration, assignment tracking, and student accountability, while the school reports 100% of graduates accepted to college and higher direct enrollment rates (above 85%) supported by students’ Microsoft‑certified skills.
