A Microsoft Teams Case Study
Mott MacDonald, a global engineering and consulting firm with 16,000 employees across 140 offices, needed to overcome time-zone barriers and high travel costs to keep distributed teams connected. To address this, they adopted Office 365 tools including Skype for Business Online and are rolling out Microsoft Teams to centralize communication, file sharing, and collaboration across projects.
Using Skype for Business Online for real-time voice, video, chat and screen sharing and implementing Microsoft Teams as a single, cloud-based workspace (integrating Word, Excel, OneNote, OneDrive and SharePoint), Mott MacDonald achieved a more consistent, secure and scalable collaboration environment. The result: productivity “has gone up substantially,” meeting travel costs have been almost eliminated, and extended on-site deployments (formerly up to six months) can be significantly reduced or avoided. Microsoft Teams helps knit geographically dispersed teams together and simplifies access to people, content and tools.
