Calvert County Public Schools engaged Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Intune for Education to pilot a one-to-one device program across its K–12 district. With limited IT staff, a mixed fleet of shared and student devices, and the need to prove a secure, scalable solution that teachers and administrators would support, the district needed a way to reliably deploy, configure, and manage Windows 10 devices so students could take devices home and use them safely.

Using Microsoft Intune for Education (with Office 365 and Azure AD), Calvert County streamlined enrollment, app and policy deployment, and per-user sign-in, enabling centralized management and monitoring of nearly 9,000 Windows 10 devices. Microsoft Teams and Intune reduced hands-on maintenance, delivered stronger security and privacy controls, allowed individualized settings on shared machines, and freed IT staff to focus on teacher training—moving the district measurably closer to its goal of one device for every student.
