Bridgeport Public Schools - Customer Case Study

Bridgeport Public Schools, a diverse Connecticut district of 46 schools and more than 21,000 students, struggled with fragile, limited legacy devices that hindered curriculum and classroom collaboration. Seeking a more robust, manageable platform, the district turned to Microsoft Teams and the broader Microsoft stack—Windows 10 devices managed with Microsoft Intune, Office 365 (including OneNote Class Notebook), and Microsoft Teams—to pilot and evaluate a replacement for Chromebooks.

After a successful 60‑device pilot, Bridgeport scaled to more than 5,000 Windows 10 devices (including 1,129 HP ProBooks at a new high school) enrolled in Intune for Education, with two of six high school campuses now fully 1:1. Microsoft Teams and the Windows 10/Intune solution simplified deployment and management, returned about 30% of IT staff time to curriculum and PD, enabled richer STEM software use, improved teacher–student collaboration and feedback, and supported the district’s goal of a 100% Windows 10 environment.
