Case Study: Etex achieves modern workplace transformation and unified collaboration with Microsoft Teams

A Microsoft Teams Case Study

Preview of the Etex Case Study

Belgian manufacturer creates modern workplace for employees

Etex, a Belgian building-solutions manufacturer with 15,000 employees across 42 countries, needed to break down a fragmented organization, accelerate innovation and create a unified digital workplace. To support this transformation the company adopted Microsoft collaboration tools—notably vendor Microsoft Teams—alongside Office 365, Azure, SharePoint, OneDrive and Skype for Business to centralize operations and drive a technology-supported culture change.

Using Microsoft Teams and the broader Microsoft stack, Etex completed about 8,900 Office activations (~99% of IT users), moved 90 SAP systems to the private cloud and began shifting major workloads (including a Citrix farm supporting 4,500+ concurrent sessions) to Azure with the goal of eliminating physical data centers by end of 2018. The Microsoft Teams-enabled environment improved cross-branch collaboration, faster onboarding, easier partner and supplier sharing via SharePoint, positive employee feedback and measurable gains in agility and cost efficiency.
