Case Study: Jack’s Diving Locker achieves seamless mobile collaboration and streamlined operations across sea and land with Microsoft Teams

A Microsoft Teams Case Study

Preview of the Jack’s Diving Locker Case Study

2,500 miles from the mainland, diving company connects employees across sea and land with cloud services

Jack’s Diving Locker, a Kona Coast dive operator, needed a way to keep nearly 50 largely mobile staff connected across five boats, two stores, and a remote mainland operations team while replacing aging on‑premises systems. To solve staffing, scheduling, and security challenges without dedicated IT, they turned to Microsoft Teams as part of a broader move to Microsoft 365 Business (including Intune, Windows 10, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Office 365).

Palmetto Technology Group migrated JDL to Microsoft 365 Business and rolled out Microsoft Teams, Intune, SharePoint, OneDrive, Yammer, and modern Windows security to enable single sign‑on, remote management, and mobile access. As a result, employees access passenger lists and waivers on any device, crews receive coordinated updates via Microsoft Teams, and IT deployment time dropped from about four hours to at most one — while security and remote wipe capabilities simplified device management.
