Toyota Indonesia boosts employee productivity and collaboration

Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia, a Jakarta‑based auto and parts manufacturer with about 9,500 employees, faced major productivity roadblocks from severe traffic, paper‑based processes, and a lack of integrated systems for booking meeting rooms and sharing documents. Employees wasted hours commuting and digging through piles of paperwork, while important files were hard to find and not securely stored.

Working with Microsoft Services, Toyota Indonesia deployed SharePoint Server 2013 and Skype for Business Server 2013 to create a digital workplace (initially hosted on‑premises). The new solution centralized file storage, enabled remote work and real‑time collaboration, streamlined meeting coordination, improved security, and cut reliance on paper—resulting in faster access to information, higher employee productivity and morale, and a roadmap toward Office 365 and cloud-based innovations.
