A Microsoft SharePoint Case Study
Hess Corporation, a global independent oil and gas producer, faced a slow, fragmented invoice-approval process after rolling out a new SAP ERP. Approvers had to jump through as many as 16 screens to review supporting documents, delegation was difficult for field staff working alternating shifts, and delays affected vendor payments across some 15,000 invoices submitted each month.
Working with Zimt Apps, Hess deployed an Invoice Approval App built on Microsoft SharePoint that overlays SAP with a single, intuitive screen and Outlook links for quick access. About 2,500 approvers can now view related documents, select multiple invoices, and approve in bulkācutting approval times from minutes to seconds, improving on-time payments to roughly 96% of vendors, and enabling more efficient cost management and ongoing enhancements.
