Microsoft Dynamics CRM gets DTU’s digitization off to a flying start

The Technical University of Denmark (DTU) needed to digitize a wide range of workflows as data volumes and reporting demands grew, while avoiding repeated technology debates and complex integrations. The university sought a flexible, standards-based platform that would let the business work with its own data, streamline processes and make operations more efficient and transparent.

DTU implemented Microsoft Dynamics CRM with SharePoint as an xRM platform, enabling non-technical configuration, end-to-end integrations and rapid rollout. The solution proved stable and cheaper to operate, covers about 90% of the university’s digitization needs, and delivered immediate financial benefits—the savings from the first project covered the CRM investment over four years—while empowering IT and business units to build services like alumni communications and a jobs-matching system.
