WWF Brazil focuses on saving the planet with more efficient project management

WWF Brazil, the World Wide Fund for Nature’s office in Brazil, was hampered by slow, spreadsheet-based project and budget tracking across five offices, which limited visibility, slowed reporting, and risked donor confidence. To modernize and centralize its processes, WWF turned to Microsoft Project, deploying Microsoft Project Online alongside Office 365 and Power BI.

Using Microsoft Project Online (implemented with partner IUNEX), WWF Brazil centralized project data for 98 projects—about 85% of its operations—moved reporting to near real time, cut the project office’s reporting burden (previously up to 40% of its time), and achieved a measurable 10% increase in productivity; improved transparency has boosted donor trust and even attracted interest for a $13 million biodiversity project. Microsoft Project’s solution delivered faster, clearer insights and more efficient project delivery.
