The Cutting-edge Approach to Technology for a New Wave of Development in Croatian Economy

HBOR (Croatian Bank for Reconstruction and Development) needed to modernize and optimize its internal project management and reporting systems after years on an older Microsoft Project Server. Facing growing maintenance challenges, fragmented reporting tools and a requirement to migrate all historical projects, resources, timesheets and reports into a backward-compatible cloud solution, HBOR chose Microsoft Project (Microsoft Office 365 Project and Portfolio Management / Project Online) with implementation by partner Proteron Consulting.

Proteron implemented Microsoft Project Online, automated migration and verification of all projects, resources and timesheets, and consolidated reporting on Power BI; the project and test phase took about three months with a five-person core implementation team. The Microsoft Project solution delivered 99.9% availability, removed on‑premises hardware and upgrade costs, centralized real‑time reporting and improved resource management and team collaboration — significantly reducing system maintenance overhead and increasing project visibility.
