Telecom Enables Remote Work in Three Days, Boosts Operations Visibility 35 Percent With the Cloud

Claro Colombia, part of América Móvil and a leading telecom operator in Colombia, needed to rapidly shift to remote work, centralize project-portfolio management, and improve operational visibility for faster decision making. To achieve this it worked with Microsoft Project, deploying Microsoft 365 tools including Project Online, Microsoft Teams, and Power BI.

Using Microsoft Project’s Project Online alongside Teams and Power BI, Claro moved employees to remote work in three days, grew daily online meetings from about 500 to roughly 10,500, and increased operations visibility by about 35 percentage points (from ~50% to ~85%). Project Online centralized project selection and resource allocation while Power BI delivered interactive sales and performance reports—reducing emails and manual processes and enabling 100% online project management across the company.
