Southern New Hampshire University unifies data and project management platforms to support the school’s mission to reinvent higher education

Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU), a large private nonprofit serving more than 160,000 learners with a distributed workforce of thousands of faculty and staff, faced fragmented project tools and inconsistent processes—teams used Excel, Smartsheet, SharePoint, and other silos—making project status, budgeting, and prioritization difficult to track. To address this, SNHU selected Microsoft Project technologies within the broader Microsoft 365 ecosystem (including Teams, Power Platform, and Project Online) and partnered with Innovative-e to build a university-wide project management platform.

Innovative-e implemented a solution that brought Project Online and a pre-built T4PM Power App into Microsoft Teams, anchored by Power BI dashboards and Power Platform automation, centralizing project data and standardizing reporting. The Microsoft Project-based platform consolidated university-wide project activity, improved visibility and cross-department collaboration, simplified project manager onboarding, and gave leadership a single dashboard to align work to strategic goals—impacting SNHU’s thousands of staff and more than 160,000 learners by enabling clearer prioritization and better resource management.
