Case Study: The Saudi Aviation Information Technology Company achieves faster approvals and increased productivity with Microsoft Project

A Microsoft Project Case Study

Preview of the The Saudi Aviation Information Technology Company Case Study

Saudi Aviation company boosts productivity by automating project management, following best practices

The Saudi Aviation Information Technology Company (SAVIT), which provides IT services to the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), faced inefficient, inconsistent project-management practices that forced managers to spend too much time creating reports and delayed project approvals. To standardize and automate workflows, SAVIT selected Microsoft Project (deploying Project Online) and paired it with Microsoft Power BI to move project management to the cloud and consolidate reporting.

Using Microsoft Project Online and Power BI (implemented with partner ITWORX), SAVIT built three-tier dashboards for workers, managers, and executives that deliver real-time, mobile-ready project insights. The Microsoft Project-based solution cut approval times dramatically—what once could take weeks or months now often takes about five days—while freeing managers to focus on execution rather than reporting, improving communication, and enabling faster, data-driven decisions.
