A Microsoft Project Case Study

Cardiff University - Customer Case Study

Cardiff University, a Russell Group research university with just under 31,000 students, needed to replace a patchwork of systems and methodologies with a standardized approach to project management and reporting. To do this they adopted Project Online as part of their Microsoft Office 365 rollout, using Microsoft Project to manage programs and projects across four main portfolios and unify documentation, risks, issues and financial tracking.

Microsoft Project delivered a single source of truth by integrating Project Online with existing systems, giving senior leaders cross-project visibility into status, risk, timelines and resourcing and speeding up report generation. As a result, Cardiff gained deeper, more accessible insight into program and project health, established consistent project management practices that boosted stakeholder confidence, and increased the velocity of data-driven decision making.
