A Microsoft Project Case Study
Ontic, a leading provider of legacy aerospace products that supports more than 5,000 customers worldwide and manages a portfolio of over 6,500 products and 1 million component parts, needed better visibility and collaboration to support product transitions and global growth. To unite teams, promote transparency, and track resource capacity, finance, and risks across its complex operations, Ontic selected Microsoft Project as its project management platform.
Using Microsoft Project (Project Online and Project for the web) with implementation support from Wellingtone and integrations via Power Apps, Power BI, and Teams, Ontic created a unified PMO portal, interactive dashboards, and an intuitive planning environment. The solution cut reporting overhead, enabled regular monthly reporting to site and global leaders, improved the rigor and visibility of product line transitions, broadened adoption beyond the PMO, and established a scalable foundation for future growth.
