A Microsoft Project Case Study
A.C.Camargo Cancer Center is an internationally recognized integrated diagnostic, treatment, education, and research center focused on “fighting cancer, patient by patient.” In 2015 it launched a strategic plan comprising 12 programs and more than 200 projects and needed a platform to manage that portfolio, enable team collaboration, and provide reliable project-status information to its Board. The center selected Microsoft Project (deploying Project Online) to address these needs.
Using Microsoft Project’s Project Online, A.C.Camargo implemented centralized project management with improved reporting and dashboards for the Board, better capacity planning and resource qualification, visualization of high-demand areas, and standardized application of its corporate project-management methodology. The implementation delivered reliable project visibility and stronger governance across its 200+ strategic projects, helping support the organization’s operations (which in 2016 included 3.8 million procedures, 89 new residents graduated, and 185 scientific articles published).
