Walgreens Boots Alliance faced inconsistent, time-consuming in-store audits and fragmented loss-prevention reporting that made it hard to reduce theft and keep shelves stocked. To modernize asset protection and speed follow-through, WBA worked with Microsoft Power Apps and the broader Microsoft Power Platform, using Microsoft Forms, Microsoft Teams, Power Automate, Power BI, and SharePoint to replace manual paper processes and siloed reporting.

Using Microsoft Power Apps to build a mobile Asset Protection app—integrated with Power Automate, Power BI, and Teams—WBA cut store-visit time by about 75% (from three–four hours to roughly 60–90 minutes), automated audit routing and twice-daily dashboard updates, and improved every one of 30+ loss-measurement metrics. Microsoft Power Apps also helped WBA shorten app development-to-production cycles by 50–80%, increase transparency and regulatory compliance, and enable faster, data-driven responses at store, district, and regional levels.
