Transforming in-store merchandising and auditing to achieve targeted business goals

G&J Pepsi-Cola Bottlers, Inc., a Cincinnati‑based Pepsi bottler with more than 1,600 employees and a large field workforce, needed to modernize in‑store merchandising and auditing and deliver mobile on‑the‑go services. Their seven‑person IT team turned to Microsoft Power Apps (supported by Power BI, Microsoft Flow and Office 365 services) to create custom web and mobile apps without hiring professional developers.

Using Microsoft Power Apps the team built the Store Audit and merchandiser apps, integrated them with Power BI dashboards and Microsoft Flow alerts, and deployed a scalable end‑to‑end solution in weeks. The apps have captured over 15,000 surveys, reached more than 900 field users, generated eight internal apps to date, and delivered about $500,000 in first‑year savings (including avoiding a $240,000 outsourcing cost), improving visibility, responsiveness and customer follow‑up.
