Case Study: ThyssenKrupp Aerospace achieves a transparent, just-in-time Materials as a Service supply chain with Microsoft Power Apps

A Microsoft Power Apps Case Study

Preview of the ThyssenKrupp Case Study

Thyssenkrupp Aerospace provides efficient supply chain services to aircraft manufacturers and subcontractors with Materials as a Service

ThyssenKrupp Aerospace (ThyssenKrupp) — a global leader in supplying aluminum, titanium and other metals to aircraft manufacturers and their tiered suppliers — faced poor transparency across complex supplier–producer relationships. That lack of visibility forced customers to overorder and stockpile materials, increasing costs and undermining ThyssenKrupp’s Materials as a Service strategy. To solve this, the company implemented a unified CRM using Dynamics 365 and engaged Microsoft Power Apps to build supporting tools.

Using Dynamics 365 as the global CRM and a custom KAM365 key-account app built with Microsoft Power Apps (delivered with partner ITVT), ThyssenKrupp mapped tier‑1/tier‑2 relationships, synchronized customer strategies into the CRM, and enabled real‑time planning and opportunity identification. The Microsoft Power Apps solution improved visibility across the value chain, reduced overproduction risk, helped target new customers, and moved ThyssenKrupp significantly closer to its Materials as a Service goals while paving the way for future ERP-driven stock monitoring.
