The power of four African bank embraces digitalization and increases efficiency with time-saving Microsoft Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, and SharePoint

Standard Bank, Africa’s largest bank, faced slow, paper‑based processes across operations such as ATM inspections that created friction, delays, and extra cost. To speed digital transformation and empower business teams, the bank turned to Microsoft Power Apps (alongside Power Automate, Power BI, SharePoint, and Office 365) to replace manual forms and enable rapid app development through a new center of excellence.

Using Microsoft Power Apps the IT team built a working ATM inspection mobile prototype in 24 hours and rolled it out to about 100 inspectors: faults and geotagged photos are saved to SharePoint and routed with Power Automate, while Power BI provides real‑time dashboards. The results include 5,000–6,000 monthly inspection reports, response times cut from weeks to hours, a move to zero paper, improved NPS, more than 50 apps built in 12 months, and lower costs without outside consultants.
