Special Olympics International gets more athletes on the field with Microsoft Power Pages

Special Olympics partnered with Microsoft Power Apps to modernize how athletes and volunteers register and engage. Facing a patchwork of state- and national-level technical solutions that often required staff help, the nonprofit needed accessible, independent portals and a way to unify constituent data across Programs.

Using Microsoft Power Apps (Power Pages) the organization built accessible athlete and volunteer portals that let participants sign up without assistance and funnel data into Dynamics 365 and related services. The new solution improved the user experience, encouraged deeper athlete participation, gave staff clearer insights into overlapping supporter engagement, and freed teams to focus on relationship-building—leading to more committed volunteers and families and plans to roll the portals out globally.
